and Nut Trees |
| Fruit
and nut trees are very common and desirable in the home garden.
Even in smaller lots, there is often enough room for a few fruit
and nut trees. If very little room is available, dwarf fruit
and nut trees may be planted. Generally, fruit and nut trees
are fast growing, and if cared for, they are not very messy.

Fruit
and nut trees will give many rewards after being planted.
They will provide shade during the summer months. The branches
can be home to several different species of birds and animals.
They bear fruit and nuts that can be eaten straight off the
tree or used in several culinary settings.
Many types
of fruit and nut trees can be grown in the home garden. These
include apple, walnut and chestnut, to name a few. Most of
these fruit and nut trees have a wide array of possible applications
into a garden. They can be used as border trees, or can be
the centerpiece of a lawn.

| Fruit
and nut trees are easy to grow. The height that they reach
depends on the type of tree and the rootstock used. Some will
only grow a few feet high, while others can tower above the
garden at one hundred feet or more in height. Only a few hours
of work a year on a fruit and nut tree will bring rewards
year round.
